Set in Buncrana, County Donegal between 1943 and 1945, the West family are an independently-minded, eccentric household with a zest and liberality that is shaken by the arrival of allied troops. As the landscape of their lives is transformed, the three West children are faced with massive upheaval.
Dolly West’s Kitchen received an Olivier Nomination for best new play, and Pauline Flanagan (Riva West, the clan matriarch) was nominated and won in the best supporting actress category.
